The Bordeaux CollectionA sweeter world

A journey across the Atlantic

A European beginning.
An American favorite.

Before the familiar bag, there was a journey. In the 1950s, Pepperidge Farm founder Margaret Rudkin visited Belgium and discovered the delicate biscuits of Delacre in Brussels.

An agreement brought those cookies to America. In 1955, Pepperidge Farm introduced its Distinctive line, with Bordeaux among the names that would become familiar.

Sweetness. Structure. Richness.

Illustrated flour, butter, sugar and salt
The sweet notes

The recovered product research identifies sugar, invert syrup and molasses in the modern formula. Together, they belong to the cookie’s sweet flavor profile.

The delicate structure

Enriched wheat flour forms the base, with cornstarch also appearing in the recovered ingredient statement. The finished cookie is thin and crisp.

The richness

The modern ingredient statement includes vegetable oils and butter. This is not an all-butter biscuit, even if its flavor brings butter to mind.

Read the label

The recovered research lists wheat, milk, egg and soy allergens. Formulas can change; use the current package for ingredient and allergy decisions.
